GARDEN CITY Locust School - PTA WEBSITE I can't even believe we are going to be celebrating Thanksgiving in a few weeks. As a reminder there is no school this Monday, November 12th. November 15th all of the Kindergarten classes will be going to Barnes and Nobel. I have a wonderful speaker coming to our January 11th PTA meeting, Danielle Seuling. Danielle is a Certified Personal Traianer and Health Fitness Instructor.Danielle will be discussing General Fitness and proper Nutrition for our children. More details will follow! So save the date!!! There is a General PTA Meeting November 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the High School. I will be sending home a flyer next week with all of the details. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! PTA Meeting The Primary Character Education Program, developed by the Primary Site-based Team, is a program in which the 3 themes of "Relationships, Responsibility and Respect" are highlighted throughout the year, with each month focusing on a particular character triat. Each student has his or her own “Passport to Good Character” in which he or she may receive recognition from any adult in the building in the form of a signature or sticker when exhibiting one of these traits. The goal of this is to provide children with a personal motivation for behavior associated with good character. In addition, teachers, administrators, and school psychologists reinforce monthly themes throughout the school year through literature, class discussions, and school-wide assemblies.
